Terms of Service

1. About ViewNam

ViewNam is a vehicle inspection platform that connects vehicle buyers with independent, vetted inspectors across Namibia. ViewNam acts as an intermediary and does not itself perform inspections.

2. Service Description

We facilitate pre-purchase vehicle inspections. Our inspectors conduct visual, mechanical, and/or diagnostic assessments depending on the service booked. Reports are advisory and based on what is observable at the time of inspection.

3. Booking & Payment

Bookings are confirmed once payment is received.
Payment is required before the inspection takes place.
We accept EFT (bank transfer) and mobile money (MTC MoMo).
Prices listed on the website exclude VAT and may vary by location.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled inspection receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the inspection are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
If the vehicle is unavailable or the seller refuses access, a full refund will be issued.
No refund is given if the inspection is completed and the report delivered, regardless of whether the client proceeds with the purchase.

6. Limitation of Liability

ViewNam and its inspectors shall not be liable for:

Defects not reasonably detectable during a standard inspection (e.g., intermittent electrical faults, hidden structural damage, internal engine wear).
Any loss, damage, or expense arising from the purchase or non-purchase of a vehicle based on our report.
Inaccurate information provided by the vehicle seller.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fee paid for the inspection service.

7. Client Responsibilities

Provide accurate vehicle and seller details when booking.
Ensure the seller is aware of and agrees to the inspection.
The final purchase decision is solely the client's responsibility.

8. Inspector Conduct

Our inspectors are independent contractors vetted by ViewNam. They are required to conduct inspections honestly and thoroughly according to our standardised checklist.

9. Intellectual Property

Inspection reports are prepared for the named client only and may not be resold, published, or distributed without ViewNam's written consent.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Namibian courts.
